Venue?
Address: 6979 GA-136, Trenton, GA 30752
We found our dream venue at Oakleaf Cottage in Trenton, GA. The wedding will be mostly outdoors, however, we will be eating in an indoor space. If it decides to rain, the venue provides a backup plan that would be just as magical!
When to RSVP by
We ask for everyone to RSVP by August 1, 2024. Thank you!
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive to the venue no later than 5 pm. The guests will all be shuttled up the hill, and the ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. The wedding/dancing will continue until 11 pm.
Are we able to bring kids?
Oakleaf Cottage does not allow children due to safety reasons, as it is on a mountain. We strongly encourage you to use this as an opportunity to find a trusted love one to watch the children to allow yourself to be fully present and enjoy yourself, for this one night!
Transportation?
Oakleaf Cottage has a parking lot located on the left when you pull in - the venue runs a shuttle service that will haul everyone up and down the venue site for the event. Please DO NOT attempt to drive up the steep hill, as you will not be able to park there. ONLY park in the designated parking lot that you will see very soon after pulling in and wait for the shuttle service that will continuously be going back and forth. We do recommend car pooling when able, and please plan to utilize Uber or other taxi services if planning on indulging in alcohol. Our only request is that all of our loved ones are safe, as this is most important to us.
Dress code?
While we are not creating a strict dress code for our wedding, we would appreciate women wearing dresses (it will be an evening wedding - just keep this in mind), and men wearing nice button ups/nice pants if possible. Again, we are not expecting suits and gowns, but wear whatever you feel comfortable/beautiful/handsome in! There will be a lot of dancing, so keep this in mind with shoe choices!
Plus ones?
Unfortunately, our lovely venue has a max capacity of 115 guests, which we have already filled. We did account for previously established relationships when creating our guest list, but unfortunately any new plus ones after creating the guest list will not be able to be accounted for. We wanted to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, while also including our closest loved ones. Thank you for your understanding on this special evening! If you have any questions regarding this, please ask Alyssa!
Alcohol?
Because Paul and I are sober, we are often asked what the beverage situation for the wedding will be. While we are not emphasizing a "cocktail hour," there will be an open bar of beer and wine for guests who choose to drink. We will also have a coffee cart and other non-alcoholic beverages, so we will be calling it "cozy hour!" We will have some adorable guests during the cozy hour that you will not want to miss!
While being around alcohol does not affect our sobriety, we do ask for those drinking alcohol to please remain respectful and to not cause a scene on this special evening. The venue does not allow personal alcohol to be brought onto the premises, so please know it will be confiscated, and you may be asked to leave if you do so. Thank you for your understanding!
Gifts?
Because Paul and I are saving up for a house in 2025, we would greatly appreciate guests donating to our honeymoon/house fund if so desired (included within this website.) If you prefer to bring cash/check/gift card, we will have a designated drop box at the wedding. We are not utilizing an itemized registry, as a house fund is much more important to us at the moment, especially with the desire to grow our family! Thank you so much. PS - a gift is not required to attend this wedding! We want you ALL to be there!
